YOUTH ACADEMY

The UM Wolves RFC Youth Academy opened its doors in October 2022, based largely out of G.F. Abela Junior College.

Currently welcoming those aged 15 and upwards, the aim of the Youth Academy is to attract younger players to the squad in order to prepare them for senior rugby from an earlier age.

A number of players who joined UM Wolves RFC as part of this academy programme have gone on to play senior rugby already, even though the programme is little over 18 months old.

Boys aged 16 and 17 will join training with the senior men’s team, while girls of those ages will join training with the senior women’s team.

Significant plans are in the works for the club to expand its Youth Academy in the 2024/25 season – so stay tuned!
