WOMEN's
Team
The UM Wolves RFC Women’s Team competes in Malta’s domestic women’s rugby league, namely the MRFU Women’s 7s Series, which runs across ten weekends throughout the season.
Having first entered Malta’s competitive league structures in October 2019, the UM Wolves RFC Women’s Team placed 2nd out of five clubs before the season was curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Women’s rugby struggled to restart after the pandemic, but since then the Wolves Women’s Team has been a dominant force in Maltese rugby, winning the 2023/24 and 2024/25 league titles.
The club has produced no less than nine players who have gone on to represent Malta in international competition, including former captain Denise Camilleri who was part of the Malta Rugby 7s team which won the Silver Medal at the 2023 Games of the Small States of Europe.
With a squad of 20 or so active players, the majority of whom are new to the sport, UM Wolves RFC is the perfect place to be introduced to the sport of rugby.
